Biju Sopanam is an Indian actor best known for his work in Malayalam television. He became a household name through his lead role as Balachandran Thampi (Balu) in the extremely popular sitcom Uppum Mulakum. His natural acting, perfect comic timing, and realistic portrayal of a middle-class family man earned him widespread love from audiences of all ages. Biju’s performance in the series made him one of the most recognized and admired TV actors in Kerala. Before entering television, Biju Sopanam was active in theatre and later transitioned into acting with a strong foundation in stage performance.
