Jayasurya

Jayasurya is a prominent Indian actor, producer, and playback singer who primarily works in Malayalam cinema. Born as Jayan Maradu on August 31, 1978, in Tripunithura, Kochi, he began his career as a mimicry artist and television host before transitioning to films. He made his debut as a lead actor in the 2002 film Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan, where his portrayal of a mute character earned him significant recognition. Over the years, he has appeared in more than 100 films, evolving from a comic and character actor into one of the industry's most versatile performers. He is widely acclaimed for his dedication to diverse roles, winning several prestigious awards including a National Film Award (Special Mention) and multiple Kerala State Film Awards for Best Actor for his work in films like Captain, Njan Marykutty, and Vellam.
