About Joju
Joju George (born Joseph George on October 22, 1977) is a versatile Indian actor, producer, and director who has become a prominent figure in Malayalam cinema. Originally from Mala, Thrissur, he began his career as a junior artist in the 1995 film Mazhavilkoodaram and spent over two decades working in supporting and comedic roles before achieving massive stardom. His major breakthrough came with the 2018 film Joseph, where his portrayal of a retired police officer earned him a National Film Award (Special Mention) and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actor. Since then, he has delivered powerhouse performances in critically acclaimed films such as Chola, Nayattu, Madhuram, and Iratta. Beyond acting, he has successfully ventured into production with his banner Appu Pathu Pappu Production, producing hits like Charlie, and recently made his directorial debut with the film Pani (2024).
