Jorge Garcia is an American actor and comedian, born in Omaha, Nebraska on April 28, 1973, who is most famous for his breakthrough role as the lovable and lottery-winning castaway, Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, on the hit television series Lost from 2004 to 2010; the character was notably created specifically for him after producers saw his work on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Before his six seasons on the island, the UCLA graduate had a recurring role as Hector Lopez on Becker, and following Lost, he maintained a strong television presence with main roles as Dr. Diego Soto on Alcatraz and Jerry Ortega on Hawaii Five-0, in addition to appearances in films like The Ridiculous 6 and his recent work on the comedy series Bookie.
