Nivin Pauly

Nivin Pauly (born October 11, 1984, in Aluva, Kerala) is an Indian actor and producer who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. An engineering graduate, he began his career as a software engineer at Infosys before making his acting debut in 2010 with Malarvaadi Arts Club. He rose to prominence and became a youth sensation with the 2012 romantic hit Thattathin Marayathu, and is well-known for playing the "boy-next-door" archetype in highly successful films like the bilingual Neram (2013), 1983 (2014), Bangalore Days (2014), and the massive blockbuster Premam (2015). For his versatile performances, he has received numerous accolades, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for his roles in 1983 and Bangalore Days, and has diversified his career by producing films under his banner, Pauly Jr. Pictures.
