About Parvathy
Parvathy Thiruvothu Kottuvatta, known mononymously as Parvathy, is a highly respected Indian actress who predominantly works in Malayalam and Tamil films. She began her career in 2006 with the Malayalam film Out of Syllabus and achieved significant critical acclaim early on for the Tamil romantic drama Poo (2008). She rose to wider prominence with her roles in successful films like Bangalore Days (2014), Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015), and Charlie (2015). Parvathy is known for selecting powerful, performance-driven roles, most notably in the 2017 film Take Off, for which she received a National Film Award – Special Mention and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. An acclaimed artist, her accolades include a National Film Award, two Kerala State Film Awards, and multiple Filmfare Awards South. She is also recognized for being one of the founding members of the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC), an organization dedicated to women in the Malayalam film industry.
