Saniya Iyappan is a prominent Indian actress and dancer who primarily works in Malayalam cinema. She first gained widespread recognition as a talented child dancer, finishing as the second runner-up in the popular reality television show D4 Dance on Mazhavil Manorama. Saniya made her acting debut as a child artist in the 2014 film Balyakalasakhi, but she shot to mainstream fame with her breakout lead role as Chinnu in the 2018 coming-of-age film Queen. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She further solidified her position in the industry with a powerful performance as Jhanvi, the daughter of Manju Warrier's character, in Prithviraj Sukumaran's blockbuster political thriller Lucifer (2019). Known for her strong screen presence and exceptional dancing skills, she has also appeared in notable films like Pretham 2, The Priest, and Salute.
