Tovino Thomas

Tovino Thomas (born 21 January 1989 in Irinjalakuda, Kerala) is a celebrated Indian actor and film producer best known for his work in Malayalam cinema. Before entering films, he completed a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and briefly worked as a software engineer, reflecting a path far removed from the world of cinema. His passion for acting eventually led him to pursue film, and he made his screen debut in 2012 with Prabhuvinte Makkal, marking the beginning of a rapidly rising career. Tovino gained early recognition through supporting and character roles in films like ABCD, 7th Day, and Ennu Ninte Moideen, the last of which earned him widespread acclaim and a Filmfare Award. His breakthrough as a leading actor came with Mayanadhi in 2017, where his performance was praised for its depth and sensitivity. Over the years, he has showcased remarkable versatility through films such as Theevandi, Uyare, Luca, Forensic, and the globally popular Netflix superhero film Minnal Murali, which cemented his popularity across India and abroad. In addition to acting, Tovino ventured into production by co-producing Kilometers and Kilometers and later launching his own banner, Tovino Thomas Productions, with the critically acclaimed film Kala.
